About the event
Nerve Safety in Rope: Anatomy, Injury Response & Practical Tools
Workshop Description:
Do you know what to do in the event of a nerve injury? What we do carries risk, and while we can’t eliminate that risk entirely, having a solid understanding of anatomy allows us to reduce or mitigate it.
Nerve safety isn’t just about technique. It’s about protecting the people we care about most in rope. Whether you’re a rigger or a rope bottom, knowing how to recognise, prevent, and respond to nerve issues is a vital part of responsible play.
This 3 hour info-based workshop explores how to recognise, prevent, and respond to nerve issues in rope. We’ll cover key nerve pathways, how to tell the difference between circulation and nerve compression, what to do if an injury occurs, and how to prepare the body with mobilisation and stretching techniques.
