What we offer
Fortnightly Classes
Our fortnightly classes are accessible and affordable, catering to all skill levels. The tiered class structure is designed to support steady progression, allowing participants to build confidence, refine technique, and deepen their understanding of shibari over time. Each level offers opportunities to develop new skills while reinforcing strong foundations, making it easy to continue learning at your own pace. Whether you’re new to rope or a regular practitioner, there are ongoing options available to support continued growth and exploration in your practice.
T.I.E.S
(Tie, Indulge, Explore and Socialise)
AThis is our rope social event where you can indulge in a delicious BBQ while mingling with fellow attendees. We have plenty of indoor space, as well as outdoor areas to enjoy some fresh air. Bring some rope, and feel free to relax in a friendly atmosphere designed for creativity and connection.
T.I.E.S is more than just a tying event; it’s a chance to learn from experienced riggers and bunnies, exchange ideas, and build friendships with others who share your passion for rope.
Performance Nights
Shibari Performance Night features guest performers from around Australia, offering an evening focused on rope as a visual and performance art.
Held in the same hall we know and love, the venue will be transformed with a stage, lighting, and curtains to create an intimate and immersive atmosphere. The venue is fully accessible, ensuring everyone can enjoy the evening comfortably.
Munches
Our Shibari munch is a casual, social catch-up for anyone interested in rope - no tying, just chats. It’s a great chance to meet others in the community, ask questions, share ideas, and connect over food and conversation in a relaxed, non-judgmental setting. Newbies and experienced folk all welcome!
The levels
LEVEL ONE
Our beginners shibari class is designed to build strong foundational tying skills in a relaxed, supportive environment. You’ll learn core techniques including the single column tie, inline (hojo) cuff and x-frictions.
In the final section of the class, you’ll explore how to apply these skills in a simple harness – either working with a partner or practicing on yourself. Perfect for complete beginners or anyone looking to refine the basics.
Level two
Level 2 is designed for those who have completed Level 1 and are ready to take the next step in their rope journey. This class builds on your foundational skills with new techniques including double columns and two-halfmoons, and then brings everything together to create a structured two-part TK. In the final portion of the class, you’ll integrate everything you’ve learned so far into a complete full-body tie.
Level Three
Level 3 is a deep dive into mastering the 3-part TK. This class is highly focused and detailed, giving you the time and guidance to work through the intricate elements of the third part of the tie. Every step is broken down carefully to ensure you develop precision and confidence, building on the foundation from previous levels. By the end of the class, you’ll have a thorough understanding of the full 3-part TK.
Level Four
Our Level 4 classes explore a variety of ties and their practical applications in play, with a different focus topic every fortnight. You'll deepen your skills, enhance connection, and refine technique through structured guidance and hands-on practice.
Each class is different, so you can come back again and again and always learn something new—think hip harnesses, TK variants, bamboo, tengu, and more. Content isn’t always announced in advance so we can tailor it to the group.
Once enrolled in a level 1 class, you’re eligible to join our Beginners Membership for $160. This membership gives you discounted tickets to the next steps for progressing. Only valid for 48 hours after your beginners class, so get in quick to secure this this discount.
After completion of your beginners sequence, you're eligible for the next 3 level 4 classes at a discounted rate, to help you progress through your intermediate shibari journey.
Both memberships allow access to exclusive video tutorials about content covered in levels 1, 2 & 3
